New Research: Impact of AHCA and BCRA on Rural Healthcare

The Chartis Center for Rural Health and iVantage have just released research revealing the impact of proposed cuts to Medicaid under the AHCA and BCRA on rural healthcare providers and the communities they serve. You can read the findings here - Impact of AHCA and BCRA on Rural Healthcare

The Chartis Center for Rural Health has modeled the financial impact of the House and Senate versions of the legislation on the nearly 2,200 rural hospitals that serve as a backstop for the rural health safety net. Our Engineering team has been hard at work enhancing our infrastructure to provide even faster access to more data. Unfortunately, to install these improvements, we have to take our products offline.

The iVantage products - INDICATOR, INVISION, INCONTROL, INFORM and INSIGHTS will be unavailable from 8:00 pm EDT (5:00 pm PDT) on Friday, April 7 until 5:00 pm EDT (2:00 pm PDT) on Sunday, April 9.

Peers share their perspectives, practices and results via sharing activities specifically designed for busy healthcare professionals – INFORM’s streamlined collaboration only requires a small investment of time to answer focused surveys or participate in a real-time iConference. Results are compiled and abstracted and e-mailed to Knowledge Community members; results are also hosted on INFORM, building a searchable library of ideas and success stories for everyone to use.

Nurse Bullying Survey Touches a Nerve

Our recent survey on Nurse Bullying received a tremendous response from our Nursing Knowledge Communities! At this point, a slight majority of respondents say that bullying is a problem at their hospital.

What do nurses say reduces bullying? Embedding expectations into the culture; education & training; and encouraging communication.

The good news? Over 70% of the respondents say that anti-bullying efforts at their hospital are working.

What's a SGI?

Hosted in INFORM KnowledgeWeb, these abstracts along with collateral material such as checklists and presentations, enable iVantage peers to learn from and share with one another.
